The 12 cellists of the Berlin Philharmonic

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

The 12 cellists of the Berlin Philharmonic (Die 12 Cellisten der Berliner Philharmoniker) are the 13 cellists of the Berlin Philharmonic who perform and record as an all-cello ensemble.

Among the pieces they have recorded, Klengel's Hymnus for 12 Cellos, Op. 57, is an example of how each individual in a 12-cello choir can contribute a vital part of a musical whole.
