Bass Sultan Hengzt

Fabio Ferzan Cataldi (born 14 August 1981) better known by his stage name Bass Sultan Hengzt is a German rapper of Italian and Turkish descent.

Career

2001-2002: Early career

Since 2001, he was signed with I Luv Money Records as a member of the underground rap group Berlins Most Wanted (BMW) in which he worked together with Bushido and King Orgasmus One.

2003-2004: Rap braucht kein Abitur

2003 he released his first solo album Rap braucht kein Abitur, 2004 he released the album Bezirk zu Bezirk with MC Bogy. In 2004, signed Hengzt to Bushido's label ersguterjunge, where he released his second album Rap braucht noch immer kein Abitur. But after disputes with Bushio he left the label.

2005-2006: Tour and Berliner Schnauze

After leaving ersguterjunge, the rapper had more contact with the Aggro Berlin artists. He featured Fler and Sido on his third solo album Berliner Schnauze. Hengzt was also featured on the Aggro Ansage Nr. 5-sampler. The song "Schlampe" ("Slut") with Fler, was banned.

In February 2006 on the Germany-tour of Bloodhound Gang, Hengzt was in a front band alongside rappers Automatikk, Mr. Long and Frauenarzt. His third album Berliner Schnauze released at the beginning of 2006 over the label Amstaff-Murderbass. An extra, for this point founding cooperation of Amstaff Muzx and Murderbass, the production factory of DJ Ilan. The singles of the album were "Berliner Schnautze" and "Millionär".

The album is more personal than his latest album and he worked together with Afrob and J-Luv. Bass Sultan Hengzt also featured his colleagues Sido, Fler, Godsilla, his label colleagues Automatikk, King Orgasmus, Bossbitch Berlin and DJ Devin. The album was produced by DJ Ilan. Also Beathoavenz, Paul NZA, Killian, DJ Desue and DJ Rocky joined the production.

June 2006 Hengzt and his crew were front band of 50 Cent's Germany tour.

On August 28 was he as co-moderator in the MTV-Show Urban TRL as guest. The rapper had reached two weeks before place #1 in the TRL Most Wanted.

2007: Der Schmetterlingseffekt

His fourth album Der Schmetterlingeffekt ("Butterfly effect") was released 14 September. The only single was: "Schmetterlingseffekt". The album contains feaatures done by Automatikk, King Orgasmus, Sido and Xavier Naidoo.

Controversy

Feud with Bushido

After the release of Rap braucht immer noch kein Abitur left Bass Sultan Hengzt with DJ Ilan label ersguterjunge after disputing with Bushido. Hengzt released a track called "Fick Bushido", dissing and blaming Bushido, for been kicked out because he won't someelse to be successful on his own. Later released Bushido his answer called "H.E.N.G.Z.T" over Bobba's song "Mauvais Garçon".[1][2]
