Raymond Lee Brown is an American jazz trumpeter and flugelhornist. He is best known for being a performer and section leader for Earth, Wind, & Fire Horns from 1987 to 2004. Brown joined Earth, Wind & Fire in 1987 when the band returned from a four-year hiatus from the music industry. In 2004, he retired from the band.

Since 2004, trumpeter Robert (Bobby) Burns, Jr., has assumed the role with Earth, Wind, and Fire. Burns graduated from Horace Mann High School, Gary, Indiana, in 1973; and he earned a Bachelor of Music, with a major in Trumpet, from the Jacobs School of Music in 1983.[1][2]
