Gosling runs his own studio (Sticky Studios) in Surrey along with his publishing company The Movement.[3] Work on the first multi-platinum selling One Direction album Up All Night with the track "Moments" lead to more work with the band on their 2nd album Take Me Home. He produced single Little Things (One Direction song) which debuted at number 1 in the UK Official Singles Chart. Over Again is another song produced on the world-wide hit Take Me Home which has already been number 1 in over 20 countries. Gosling has also done official remixes for Keane, Lady Gaga, Timbaland, Keri Hilson and Far East Movement amongst others under the pseudonym Sketch Iz Dead.[4]

Early career

Gosling's musical career started where he performed in numerous bands as a lead vocalist and keys player. This is where Gosling started to learn his trade as a producer and widening his skill set from instruments such as the keyboard and percussion to mastering modern technologies. Gosling runs Sticky Management alongside Adam Coltman, a management company which has the artist at the centre of its ethos with acts such as UK Hip-Hop artist Mikill Pane who is signed to Mercury Records.

Gosling achieved mainstream success with UK rapper Wiley producing album See Clear Now[5] featuring tracks 'Summertime' produced by Gosling and 'Cash In My Pocket' in which he worked on with Mark Ronson. This peaked at number 18 in the UK and grabbed much acclaim for both the careers of Wiley and Gosling. This brought him a lot of respect for his production and helped kickstart his career. He then worked with Southern Fried Records and produced/co-produced/co-wrote some tracks on the Crookers album Tons of Friends.[6] Also, performed vocals alongside Pitbull (entertainer) and Kardinal Offishall on tracks 'Natural Born Hustler' and 'Put Your Hands on Me'.

Gosling's association with Ed Sheeran started early in both of their careers and they formed a formidable writing partnership which started with the 'Loose Change' EP followed by 'Songs I Wrote With Amy' and then No. 5 Collaborations Project[7] which was thought to be the breakthrough EP in Sheeran's career in which resulted in his record deal with Asylum/Atlantic Records. Gosling was influential in both its birth and creation producing all of the tracks which featured rappers Wiley, Devlin, Sway DaSafo, Mikill Pane, JME (rapper), Ghetts, P Money, Dot Rotten and Wretch 32. It reached 46 on the Official UK Album Chart which for an independent release with no label backing is a huge achievement.

Gosling also achieved Remix credits with high-profile artists around the world. Artists include US stars such as Lady Gaga on her track Bad Romance and Timbaland & Nelly Furtado on the track Morning After Dark.

"+" (Ed Sheeran album)

The breakthrough which brought Gosling mainstream success was the debut album "+" by Ed Sheeran. Gosling co-wrote seven tracks on the album, producing the whole of the album with one track produced by No I.D..[8] It debuted at the top of the album charts with first week sales of 102,000 copies coming off the back of singles The A Team (song) and You Need Me, I Don't Need You. The former peaked at number 3 in the UK Singles chart with the latter also achieving success with a peak position of 4. Lego House was also a hit for both Gosling and Ed Sheeran with the writing pair achieving commercial success achieving Platinum status in the UK selling over 600,000 singles and reaching number 5 in the UK Singles Chart and featured Rupert Grint in the video. The single Drunk (song) also featured in the top 10 with it being adapted by Sheeran and Chris Moyles on the parody album "The Difficult Second Album".

By the end of 2011, the album had been certified 3x Platinum indicating sales of over 900,000 copies. By July 2012 the album had been certified 4x platinum indicating sales of over 1,200,000 records sold in the UK. The album also received acclaim globally with it peaking number 3 in the Australian Albums Chart,[9] number 2 in New Zealand [10] and number 5 in the US Billboard 200 [11] which saw Sheeran being the highest charting male solo artist for 6 years. This success has been credited to both the talents of Ed Sheeran and the partnership he has struck up with Gosling which has enhanced the profile of both individuals. The album has achieved an outstanding feat of having 29 gold and platinum awards outside of the UK with countries Australia and Ireland on this list showing the worldwide success of the debut album.

The album has become Faith's highest chart position to date adding another top 3 album to Gosling's collection following + (album) earlier in the year.
